Hello and welcome to Swissy Saint Sennenhunds! The Swissy Saint is a Hybrid breed and they are truly unique and impressive. Our puppies come from our male Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and our female Saint Bernard. The puppies will grow to be very large dogs, excellent for a farm or a home with a large yard. They are very loyal, affectionate and have an excellent temperament. Our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog came from championship blood lines and has won 6 points toward his championship. Our beautiful Saint Bernard females are very mild mannered and great with all other animals and children. Their excellent temperament and traits are passed on to their puppies.
We live on a 115 acre horse farm and have cattle grazing in our field. The puppies are raised in our house and roam freely on the main floor and enjoy outside play throughout the day. I am totally devoted to my three beautiful dogs and their babies! I work from home which allows me to be with our dogs and puppies all day. We grow our own fruits and vegetables; make maple syrup, living off the land as much as possible. All of my dogs are house dogs, never left outside, unless they insist on laying in the sun or snow! Saint Bernards love being outdoors, swimming and getting dirty. We have a nice sized pond in our back yard which they enjoy playing in. We also have lots of fields where we ride our ATV’s and the dogs love to run behind us while we ride. A great way for them to get the exercise they require.
I start paper training the puppies around three weeks of age and outside training when they start eating puppy food, around four weeks old. Each puppy will have weekly weights taken starting at birth. Past litters generally weigh between twenty-two and twenty-five pounds at eight weeks. They grow very fast!
I like to stay in touch with the owners my puppies; this helps me to provide information to future owners. Also I am always available if anyone has a question or concern regarding their new pup. Many of the owners send me emails and text messages with photos and updates. I always love receiving updates and especially love the photos and videos they send of their puppy. I have a private Facebook group for all the owners to post pictures and updates or to ask questions regarding the puppies. It is a great way to stay in touch and allows the puppy owners to speak to each other too! I take great pride in my dogs and puppies and do my very best to place each puppy in a home with a family who will love, care for and ensure good health the way I do while they are in my care!
